Apple Pie On A Stick

How was everyone's Thanksgiving holiday? I overstuffed my stomach with food galore and spent my time cooking, eating, relaxing with my family, and playing board games. Every year I help out more and more in the kitchen, and while my Mom still takes on the brunt of the work, I take on smaller projects such as pies and appetizers and leave the important items such as the turkey to her! 


This year I found the perfect use for all of those extra apple slices from making apple pie. Simply chop up the extra slices in a blender and stir the blended apples together with the leftover spices. Use a round cookie cutter to cut out circles into the extra dough and drop spoonfulls of the apple mixture into the center. Place a popsicle stick in the center and cover the top with another cut out of dough. Then use a fork to push down the edges of the dough. Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown. And, you have mini-apple pies on a stick! Perfect for a quick bite or snack!


{I also use cookie cutters for the crust of the pie for a festive twist!}

  1. You are so teasing me since everyone ate them before I could could even take a nibble. You will just have to make them again for Christmas, so your poor mother who was slaving over the turkey can have a taste. LOL
