Winter Chill

posted on: Thursday, December 6

It {finally} truly feels like winter. There's a chill in the air, holiday shopping is in full swing, and the city is fully decked out with holiday everything. B and I recently celebrated an anniversary and he romantically suggested ice skating at Bryant Park. We happened to go on one of THE warmest December days so far, which quite worked to our advantage. He skated circles and backwards around me as I tried to get my feet back into ice skating mode. Ya know, since the last time I skated must have been at least ten years ago. It was great. We did some loops, took in the Christmas tree and pianist {yes, pianist} in the center of the ice playing holiday music. Did I mention romantic, well it was. Then we ventured to dinner and, of course, had desert. The above image is from this blog right here. I love the photography this curator has collected and shared. They are an interesting glimpse into history but some are also really timeless like this one. Ahhh, Paris!
